Tips for delivery of audio for pre-master
Take in consideration that the peaks have 2dB margin for the pre-mastering process, this will not affect the dynamics.The use of the compressor/limiter is to be applied only if you are using one of an exceptional quality.
The use of the mastering equipment s.a. finalizers, maximizers, enhancers is not at all recommendable.
CD Audio
If you decide to supply a CD-audio (normal CD 16bit/44.1kHz) then it is important that you burn it at the lowest possible speed (1-4 max) so that no errors would be encountered.
Data CD
16bit and 24 bit at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz is possible.
Burn only the files that you want to use for the pre-master, supply the tracks with their correct names in their correct order:
01wakening
02the trip
etc…
To be 100% sure supply a list with the track numbers, names and order as well.
